Oleh Anton Adianto Kayu merupakan bahan baku yang fleksibel, serbaguna, dan salah satu bahan baku konstruksi yang berkelanjutan. Hal tersebut terjadi karena kayu diperoleh dari hasil penebangan pohon, baik di hutan alam, hutan tanaman industri (HTI) atau lokasi lainnya. Kayu telah digunakan sebagai bahan bangunan selama ribuan tahun.
