Play slideshow on Samsung TV with USB

Hi All,

In my company I work for, I have 3 smart samsung TVs that running a slide show for our products from 8 AM-5 PM, M-F. The slide show saved on USB stick that plugged into TVs, samsung smart TV able to play the slide show without using additional programs/apps.

I set the time on those TVs from 8 AM auto turn on and 5 PM turn off, but the problem is on setting the first screen when turn on 8 AM, it never play the USB automatically, even tough I have already set on the on timer with USB for the first start-up screen, in other word, TV always failed to play from USB, and it will go to HDMI source, hence, I have to set the USB slide show on my own, this is not what my manager and I want.

I have already tried to use app calls Plex, but this is eating up our bandwidth,and last time I used the miracast from our sales laptop, but unfortunately that is not how we wanted. My laptop has win 7 pro and it doesn't have capability of Miracast, and we don't want to play the slide show from our server (like others, nobody wants it, lol)

Any suggestions to work around with this problem? much appreciated your suggestions/opinions. Thank you.

We do similar but we use Digitalsignage.com, You can get a small cheap USB android device that connects to the TV via USB (for power) and HDMI, powers on and off with the TV and starts playing automatically after powering back on.

you can download the software for free and role your own hardware off an old windows box also if you would like

thanks, I already checked that the device is really expensive, you mentioned before that I can use small cheap USB dongle, and download the signage from there? please advise.
