Why do they always put her in boxy blazers that make her look.... well boxy! When she first came on the back I thought maybe they were trying to hide the actress' pregnancy. Then she left again after the throat slashing (obviously played by another actress) When came back again she was "preggo". Now that she's "had the baby" she's back in those awful blazers! Not flattering at all.

Sorry if it’s been discussed before, but is the actress who plays Brook Lynn pregnant in real life? Since Maxi gave birth, I’ve noticed BrookLynn continues to wear dark tops with loose jackets. In July, that seems awfully hot!

She has just returned from maternity leave. It is not politically correct of me to say, but I am guessing she has not lost the weight she gained when is was pregnant.

She was. That is why there was a temporary replacement, so she could have her baby. My guess, as so often is the case, getting her figure back to pre-pregnancy is proving difficult hence the clothing choices.

Did you watch when Nelle slit Brook Lynn’s throat at the Nurse’s ball? That Brook Lynn was the replacement while the current actress was on maternity leave. This website has people who were good and bad replacements for the original actors. Years ago Michael Learned (played Olivia Walton on The Waltons) filled in for Jeanne Cooper on the Young and The Restless. Unfortunately, she was not considered to be a good fill in. I remember she was on GH as a patient who was dying and Elizabeth took care of her. She gave Elizabeth advice about Nicholas. I think maybe Nicholas visited the patient and danced with her. A waltz.

I do remember Olivia replacing Mrs. C. I agree, she didn’t do justice to the character. Like the replacement Phyllis. A great actress, but just not the same personality.

I remember when Jen Lilly came in to play Maxie and suddenly everyone loved her. I remember a petition to get her on the show even as a different character. There was another Maxie replacement who wasn’t as successful. Then last year when Lindsay Hartley (I don’t know her new name) came in for Sam, folks loved her in the role.

In this website’s article on replacements, they mentioned that Jen Lilly was a good temporary fill in in the role of Maxie. Several months ago, I saw something about Jen Lilly not being happy about a part, but I don’t remember if it was when she filled in for Kristin. I have noticed that when another actor or actress fills in for one who is sick, or on maternity leave, the fill in receives many hateful comments. I think why, they are only doing what they have been asked to do. Also I think people need to get a life.

Jen Lindley loved playing Maxie and being on gh and the people she worked with but social media was do cruel to her and so much hate mail saying she was terrible as Maxie that she almost quit daytime! Then she went to Day’s and the fans loved her but I don’t think that the environment was as pleasant as GH’s? Now she just does hallmark movies with Ryan Pavey!
She’s such an amazing person that I felt bad for her? I think to this day thoughts of gh affect her greatly
