Disney has recently filed a permit for the location of the Tree of Life in Animal Kingdom for general construction.

This could be just generalized maintenance, such as painting, that Disney wants to do to ensure the structure is in its best shape and appeals to Guests. But it also could be relating to the upcoming 50th anniversary as Disney previously announced that Guests can look forward to something very similar to the Tree of Life Awakening come October 1, 2021, in honor of the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World.

Disney Parks Blog has confirmed that Guests can look forward to magical fireflies inhabiting the Tree of Life at Disneys Animal Kingdom Theme Park so Disney may be thinking about beginning to work on the theme park icon as we are now just days away from the start of the 50th celebrations.

We are also wondering if this permit was filed for something relating toIts Tough to be a Bug!as this attraction is locatedinsidethe Tree of Life, meaning the permits location could be referring to Its Tough to be a Bug or the Tree of Life itself.

At this time we are unsure what the permit is for exactly, but Inside the Magic will continue to update you as we get information.
