Android is all about versatility and customization and if you have a rooted device, you can customize it in a plethora of ways. Usually, we use 3rd-party launchers, icon packs, wallpapers and widgets to pimp our phones lock and home screens. You must have seen people flaunting awesome home screen setups on different forums and social media.

Customization on Android, however, is limited to just the home and lock screens. We can change the look of the user interface via a theme, a custom ROM or mod. Yet another way of adding a pinch of spice in your devices customization is applying custom fonts and today, well tell you how you can enjoy not one or two but no less than1060 custom fonts on your phone. As the very title of this post states that the fonts provided here can installed only on Samsung Galaxy devices because they are compatible with FlipFont that comes pre-installed on Samsung phones and tablet devices.

In the past, we shared a number of font packs for Samsung devices, but none of them work on Android Marshmallow and Nougat firmware. If you own a Samsung phone with the latest firmware and want to enjoy more than a thousand fonts, youre just where you should be.

Anyway, without wasting any more time, lets proceed to the real thing.

UPDATE (December 2017): Use the following tutorial instead

In case your Samsung Galaxy 66, S7, Note 5, S8, S8 Plus, Note 8 or any other Samsung Galaxy is not rooted, you can still enjoy 1000+ custom fonts by heading over to the following tutorial:

  • Install 1000+ Fonts on Samsung Devices (Nougat and Oreo) without Root

Prerequisite:

  • Since the SamsungSans fonts package is available as a flashable zip, your phone must be rooted with a custom recovery like TWRP installed on it.
  • In case you own a rooted Samsung devicewithout a custom recovery, you can still install the SamsungSans.apk file by pushing it to /system/app/ directory and fixing the file permissions.

Installing 1060 Fonts on Samsung Galaxy Devices (Lollipop/MM/Nougat)

Method 1: Flashing via TWRP Recovery

(This method didnt work for me on S7 Edge running Nougat, but it worked on Marshmallow.)

  1. Download theSamsungSans_V6.zip file and copy it to your phones internal or external storage.
  2. Turn off your phone and reboot it into the recovery mode by pressing and holding the Volume Up + Home + Power buttons together for 5-7 seconds. To reboot your device into the recovery mode easily, you can use apps likeReboot Manager orQuick Reboot.
  3. The first thing that you should do after getting into the TWRP recovery is to Backup your current ROM as a safety measure. You can easily restore this backup in case your device is caught in a boot loop.
  4. Having backup up your ROM, go back to the main menu in TWRP and tap the Install button.
  5. Now navigate toSamsungSans_V6.zipand select it.
  6. Install it and then reboot your device using Reboot> System option.
  7. When your device boots up, go to Settings> Display> Font. On Samsung devices running Nougat, you will find the option to change the font under Display> Screen zoom and font.
