Who is the dog on the masked singer

Dog The Bounty Hunter and Jennifer Holliday were unmasked during The Masked Singer on Fox during a double-elimination episode.

Show host Nick Cannon, 41, helped Armadillo remove his giant mask to reveal his true identity as Duane Chapman, also known as Dog the Bounty Hunter. Nick asked him what made him do the show.

'I saw the first season and was like ''Man, they are having fun'',' Duane, 69, said. 'And when I got here they said I have to sing and I'm like ''What? Sing? I don't even sing in the shower''.'

Duane wore a giant sequined embellished Armadillo mask costume when he took the stage earlier to perform Amazing Grace. When he finished, panelist Nicole Scherzinger, 43, wiped tears from her eyes.

'That's one of the best versions of Amazing Grace that I've ever heard,' Nicole said. 'Because you believed it and so did I.'

'Even right now you're a little emotional,' Nick said to the Armadillo. 'Can you tell us why?'

'That was my mom, her favorite song,' Armadillo said while crying.

'I sing that song to my son just about every night,' panelist Robin Thicke, 45, revealed. 'And you know, years ago when I was going through my toughest times, those lyrics would resonate with me.'

'Armadillo getting us all emotional here,' Nick said.

Duane's clues included handcuffs and that he was once behind bars. He said his faith got him through the hard times and shared that he was going to sing a song that his mother sang for him.

'My bond with her is what's going to get me into the finale,' Armadillo said before the unmasking

Before his reveal, Nick asked their judges for their guesses to Armadillo's identity.

Jenny McCarthy, 49, said the clues so far were a motorcycle, handcuffs, prison, and Texas.

'I really do think this could be Dog The Bounty Hunter,' Jenny declared.

Guest panelist Leslie Jordan, 66, said he thought it might be Tommy Lee Jones.

'This is Al Pacino and I'll tell you why,' panelist Ken Jeong, 52, said. 'Handcuffs, he was a cop in Serpico. He was technically a fugitive in Scarface.

'Those were some really good guesses except for Ken's,' Nick said. 

Miss Teddy, a giant red teddy bear with a pink bow and sparkly cheeks, was also unmasked and revealed to be Tony Award winner Jennifer, 61.

Before she unmasked, Ken told her she was 'outstanding' and guessed it was Yolanda Adams.

'I think this is Gloria Gaynor,' Jenny said.

Robin guessed it was Karen Clark of the Clark Sisters.

Nicole and Leslie guessed correctly.

'The legendary iconic Jennifer Holliday,' Nicole guessed.

Leslie agreed.

'Tony Award-winning iconic superstar,' Nick said after he unmasked her. 'We are not worthy.'

Nick bowed down and asked her why she wanted to be on The Masked Singer.

'Well Nick, I believe that it was destined to be,' Jennifer said. 'From you all's very first season, my fans have been trying to guess as if it were me, and so I think they have kind of brought me here for this.'

'I was thinking about my fans who have given me so much love and support,' Jennifer added.

Nick said Nicole was one of them.

'I used to pretend I was you in my room growing up,' Nicole said. 'You're a living legend.'

Jennifer then performed one more time with her mask off. 

Earlier in the show, Miss Teddy sang Mercy by Duffy surrounded by teddy bear dancers. The crowd gave her a standing ovation when she finished and all the panelists were standing on top of the table.

'You had every single one of our panelists standing up on the table, the entire arena in here on their feet,' Nick said when she finished.

'Oh my gosh,' Nicole said. 'You are the moment this season! I swear, one of a kind. No one can touch it.'

'I'm just gobsmacked,' Leslie said.

Ken thought from the clues that she thought she might be Yolanda Adams.

'She had a number one best-selling gospel album,' Ken said.

Leslie said he was struck by her clue of the three Supreme Court judges.

'I know you're not Diana Ross,' Leslie said. 'But you could be Cindy Birdsong, who was the third Supreme, or Mavis Staples.'

Jenny said with the Grammy clue that she thought it was Gloria Gaynor.

'Gloria can sing,' Nicole said.

At the end of the night, Ringmaster, wearing a giant red tent outfit with white hair and top hat, was the only renaming contestant moving on to the finale. She shared her clues that she went to a prestigious school and that she wondered if she would ever be good enough. A sign in her clue package said 'Welcome to Nashville.'

Ringmaster took the stage and performed the Dolly Parton song I Will Always Love You.

'Wow,' Robin said when she finished. 'That was good.'

'That was truly the most beautiful, epic performance we have ever had on The Masked Singer,' Jenny said. 'If you don't win, I'm coming back with a shaved head next season. That was unbelievable.'

Nick asked Ringmaster what it would mean to her to make it to the finale.

'It would mean the world to me to go to the finale,' Ringmaster said. 'Music is my first love, and I would just be so honored to get to continue to perform on this stage for you all.'

Robin said he thought it might be an actress.

'Could this possibly be Sarah Hyland,' Robin guessed.

Nick asked Leslie for his guess.

'I'm just grasping at straws,' Leslie said. 'Noah Cyrus?'

Leslie also said he thought it might be Kacey Musgraves.

'I think this could be Maren Morris,' Nicole said. 'She lives in Nashville.' 

Ringmaster was named the round two winner and moved on to the season finale.

'So excited and honored,' Ringmaster said when she learned she was going to the finale.

The Masked Singer will return next Wednesday on Fox.
