There are three main types of documents in Google Docs that you may wish to use: the spreadsheet, the document for word processing, and the presentation document for making presentations. Its easy to insert a table in Google sheets since the spreadsheet is basically an infinite table. Making a table here is as simple as bolding the borders around cells. Its the document and the presentation that can be a little more complicated, though both have a built-in table generator. If you want to make a table in a presentation or a document, you can organize information into columns and rows, separating it from the rest of the document, which makes things much easier to understand. Making a Google Docs table is quite straightforward, all you need to know is the desired size of your table. Making Tables on the ComputerThe first step is to open your browser and go to docs.google.com, where you will enter your login details (email address and password) to access your personal Google docs page. Resizing Columns and RowsOpen the document with the table whose columns and rows you would like to resize. In case youre resizing columns and rows in a table in a presentation, then open the presentation with the table whose columns and rows you would like to resize. Locate the row or column you would like to resize and move your cursor to its gridline. Your cursor should change into a dual-sided arrow. When your cursor changes into a dual-sided arrow, click and drag your mouse until the column or row has become the size that you want. In case you want to make all columns and rows the same size, right-click anywhere on the table. A menu of options will appear when you right click. Select either of the options labeled Distribute columns and Distribute rows, depending on whether you want columns or rows to be the same size throughout the table.
