Why can't google just hire a person to fix Japanese translations, obviously it is not working.

Basically 90% of Japanese translations are inaccurate, it said
no=番号(bangō),番号(bangō)=number, not "no"
then I press reverse translate 2 more times and it says number=数(kazu) will google translate make up it's mind already...

Google is about automaction. Google is not a service company; Google is about creating automated technology to replace humans... So you can't ask for human assistance where Google wants machines to do the tasks....
Translate is not perfect, there is a long way to go until a machine can interpret languages as humans.
You can improvetranslateby submitting an edit/ correction (under the pencil icon)
Corrections /edits provided by many others help the Machine Learning algorithm to correct itself.

I haven't paid for it, therefore least I could do is waste some of my time trying to teach the algorithm how waw consecutive works in Hebrew! (who knows? enough poor souls like me get on it, maybe in a decade or two, or five judging from the overall popularity of the Hebrew language, we'll get there...)
