   Hello,I noticed a thread posted from 2016-2017 about Facebook Messenger not showing its push notifications, and then it not being in the list of apps that notifications are allowed. So, I've been trying to turn on its notifications for a while now because I'm not always able to be in the window and I end up missing messages when I'm doing other things. I've tried re-installing the software multiple times, updating it, and even going through its settings. For its settings it tells me to go to the notification center on my pc. So I go into that window and search and search but no Messenger by F

   This is a problem I've been having from the very beginning. Both the Facebook and the Messenger apps do not show any notification in the action centre, the only difference being that Facebook shows notifications while the app is open but messenger
   dosent show any even then. Upon checking, I saw that the messenger app is not even listed in the list of apps in the settings menu under
   Settings>System>Notification and apps>Get notification from these senders. Facebook, however, does exist in that list. I am using windows 10 Pro 64 bit,

   If the Messenger app doesn't show on the list under Notifications & Actions, it's possible that there are too many apps that are using the push notification. There is a limit to the number of apps you have installed that has push notifications enabled. You
   may consider removing other apps that are not in use and check if it helps.

   In addition, you can also try to check the Default App for Protocol to prioritize Messenger as the default. To do this, follow the steps listed below:

   • Type Default app settings in the Search bar.
   • Click Choose default apps by protocol.
   • Look for the Messenger app then click on it.
   • Restart PC and check if it works.
     

   Let us know how it goes after performing the suggested steps.
